17 - SEVENTEEN Falsifeye HD Mascara Review + test

Hi all!

This month I came across a new 17 mascara Falsifeye HD while shopping at Boots.

Introductory offer caught my eye as well as the very attractive price - £4.99 (regular price £6.99).

SEVENTEEN is a boots own make- up brand which was originally designed for the younger generation with bold, bright colors and more affordable prices than No7 make-up by Boots.

For the past few years I've noticed that the brand has really grown and improved their range of products, and the quality is brilliant! But here I wanted to introduce and quickly review their new Falsifeye HD mascara in Blackest Black.

Here is the official product description:

"94% of users saw more definition*

93% of users saw separated lashes*

92% of users saw long lasting results*

76% of users said this mascara DOUBLED the volume of their lashes Vs bare lashes

*results observed in a consumer panel survey using 2 coats

How to Use

• Curl the lashes upwards using the flat side of the brush, twisting the brush while applying the mascara.

• Through this twisting action, the lashes are combed and defined by the longer bristles, which stroke through the mascara from root to tip & separates each lash, for clump free application!

•When applying, use a delicate zig-zag motion, to ensure lashes are fully coated from root to tip for maximum definition!

• Use the tip of the brush for more accuracy, to capture the tiny lashes at the corners of the eyes!

• Additional layers will create more volume.

Ingredients

The brush:

• This unique all-in-one brush has two different application zones, which means mascara can be loaded easily onto the lashes and combed through.

• The shorter bristles on the flat side of the brush hold more of the mascara bulk, ready to apply to the lashes

• The longer bristles of the brush comb through the mascara from root to tip, making the lashes appear more defined, volumised and longer.

• The conical shaped tip of the brush helps with the application of mascara to the tiny, hard to catch lashes at the corners of the eyes.

Product Packaging

The brush/wand is rubber mix and is perfectly shaped with long and short bristles for even and clean application

Right the choice of a shape and the material from which the brush is made is always very personal. I do like the classic/natural bristles as well as the plastic/rubber ones, it all depends on what kind of look I want to go for.

For natural and flattering effect I would recommend using a natural/classic wand and for a very dramatic effect the plastic one as it does make lashes look fuller, longer and darker at the same time, at least in this case it does. I adore this brush I wish I could get hold of disposable versions of it...

Ok now time for a BIG WOW effect...

First my "naked" lashes before...

And now after applying the product....

After first layer

After second layer

Separate eyes ...

Left: before, Right: after

Well I reckon if I kept adding layers I would end up with a real fake lashes effect. I must admit I was so pleased with the result after I'd tested it, that I run back to Boots the very next day and got two more mascaras :)
I've been wearing it for the past two weeks every day for at least 14 hours and I can confirm that -
After applying 2 coats this mascara:
Does not clump
Is long lasting, Smudge proof & does not flake
Adds volume & length from corner to corner
Lifts & curls lashes from corner to corner
Adds thickness to lashes

I think for this quality product you would have to pay a lot more. So well done again 17!

  1. What is wrong with this company? Almost everyone in the US wants this mascara and we can't get it unless we pay almost $100 to buy it from some low life price gouger. I love it but no mascara, not even this one, is worth that. Why don't they market it in the US at a competitive price?
